The intervention of Seychelles' Honorary Consul Jana Stefankova and the financial support of Mr and Mr Machacek has enabled the donation of two interactive touch screens to the Grand Anse Praslin primary and secondary schools, which will greatly enhance the learning and teaching experience.

Jana Stefankova was thus the first Seychelles Honorary Consul to fulfil her commitment to the „District Adoption Programme“, which was introduced during last year's International Conference of Seychelles Honorary Consuls. A big thank you to the Machacek family who funded the purchase of the two interactive screens. Together with Jana Stefankova, they also watched the online broadcast of the ceremony in the presence of representatives of the Seychelles government, the head teachers of both schools, teachers, pupils and students, who prepared a rich accompanying programme for the guests.

The conference on the theme "Harnessing Opportunities through Diplomatic Relations" was officially opened by the President of the Republic of Seychelles, Mr. Wavel Ramkalawan, who thanked all the Honorary Consuls for their work and efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic. At the same time, new projects to support and promote Seychelles were presented, including the "Adopting a District" programme, which aims to strengthen cooperation between Consuls and District Administrators to better understand the problems and priorities of the local community so that they can bring concrete contribution and support.
