Interest in top gastronomy in our country has increased significantly. We more often attend various social events that are combined with culinary experiences. It is the same in our working life, with business meetings usually taking place in the environment of luxury hotels and restaurants. This fact is confirmed by international research which shows that 49 % of all successful business contracts are concluded during working lunches and dinners. Therefore you will surely agree with the statement that today it is absolutely essential to have a knowledge of Dining Etiquette. The properly acquired subtleties of social behaviour can be what tip the scales in one's favour in a future career or contract. However, nobody was born with the ability to cope. Nor is it simple to cope with a feast of several courses, especially in the case of rare culinary delicacies, such as seafood, Japanese Sushi or Korean Kimchi being served. After all, we sometimes do not even know what some exotic dishes look like, let alone how to consume them correctly.

To eliminate your uncertainty when faced with a festively laid table with many glasses and an array of cutlery, we have prepared educational seminars on Dining Etiquette for you. These seminars are led by the founder of Bling-Bling company - Jana Štefánková - together with leading experts in the field of gastronomy and dining.

 

Seminars are recommended for:

In short, for all who want their professional presentation to be perfect at various social and gastronomic events in the Czech Republic and abroad and who want their behaviour to impress influential business partners and enchant the selected company.

Duration of the seminar: 8 hours (approx. from 10:00 to 18:00)
Venue: luxury 5-star hotel
Seminar cost: CZK 15 000 (The price includes a welcome drink, coffee break, hot and cold non-alcoholic beverages, vintage wine and premium branded rum tasting, exclusive 10 course menu).

The seminar combines practical training in Dining Etiquette, theoretical explanation and discussion by participants with lecturers. During the extensive and unusual 10-course menu, participants practise all the skills, acquire the rules of Dining Etiquette, learn how to handle various and less common types of cutlery, consume rare culinary delicacies, taste beverages properly, the duties of guest and host, the differences between American and Continental dining and interesting facts about the eating customs of various cultures, etc. The seminar also includes a lesson on Professional Dressing Style, devoted to the correct selection of clothes for various social occasions, elegant men's and women’s wardrobes, correct definition of abbreviations on invitation cards, essential accessories, etc.

Duration of the seminar: 5 hours (approx. from 12:30 to 17:30)
Venue: luxury hotel or restaurant
Seminar cost: CZK 10 000 (The price includes a welcome drink, hot and cold non-alcoholic beverages, vintage wine and premium branded rum tasting, exclusive 8-course menu.)

The seminar combines practical training in Dining Etiquette, theoretical explanation and discussion by participants with lecturers. During the extensive and unusual 8-course menu, participants practise virtually all the skills, acquire the rules of Dining Etiquette, learn how to handle various and less common types of cutlery, consume rare culinary delicacies, taste beverages properly, the duties of guest and host, the differences between American and Continental dining and interesting facts about the eating customs of various cultures, etc.

Duration of the seminar: 3 hours (according to agreement, in the morning or afternoon)
Venue: Bling-Bling company showroom

The seminar combines theoretical explanations with practical demonstrations and a discussion by participants with lecturers, without practical training in Dining Etiquette (it does not include an extensive menu of several courses and beverage tasting). This is organised as a lecture, during which participants acquire the basic rules of Dining Etiquette, learn how to handle various and less common types of cutlery, learn about the duties of guest and host, the differences between American and Continental dining and interesting facts about the eating customs of various cultures, etc.

4. SEMINARS ON TABLE MANNERS FOR PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS

The seminar is focused on the rules of manners and table manners. The content and style are always adapted to the educational level of the pupils/students and their relevant knowledge. It can be arranged as a one-off seminar of various length, or in the form of a comprehensive programme consisting of individual consecutive lessons to be held in the school premises. This is in an entertaining method, with an emphasis on a combination of a theoretical lecture and illustrative explanation. Practical examples are provided for young people to gain as much knowledge as possible in the best possible way. The goal of the seminar is to support the full development of the young person's character. This includes, in particular, developing the ability to engage successfully in social communication, a sensitivity to other cultures and the awareness of the positive aspects of acceptable social behaviour and table manners.

5. SEMINARS ON TABLE MANNERS FOR CHILDREN

This is a special programme consisting of theoretical and practical parts, during which children learn in a fun way the principles of social behaviour and correct table manners at various social and gastronomic events (e.g. party, banquet, brunch, etc.). They learn about different and less common types of cutlery, how to choose food from a buffet table and how to eat individual courses correctly (e.g. soup, chicken, spaghetti, pizza, etc.). In addition, children acquire the etiquette of table napkins, body language at the table, etc. The programme also includes an extensive menu of several courses, or snacks in the form of a snack buffet, whereby children can best practise and reinforce the knowledge gained. The seminars are held in small groups with the maximum of 10 children, with or without the participation of parents, in the environment of a luxury hotel or top restaurant or in our prestigious showroom premises.
